Six Sexy Collectibles: Not Your Mother's Lladro

1. Booty Babes - Inspired by a mix of pop art, collectible toys, and the ladies of Black Tail magazine, artist Spencer Davis has a full line of figures that include affordable limited editions in addition to the higher cost original sculptures. He even writes little stories about some of the ladies, like Scarlett the exotic dancer-turned-MBA. Other Booty Babes exist more firmly in the realm of fantasy, but all are curvaceous and foxy. 2. Shunga Netsuke - The Edo period in Japan saw a flourish of erotic art called shunga, which were primarily woodblock prints. Netsuke are miniature sculptures, often in materials like wood or ivory - when the two styles combine, you get lots of carefully handmade interlocking figurines. And yes, that's genital interlocking we're talking about. 3. Pornaments - On the entirely whimsical side of the spectrum are the Christmas (or should I say XXX-mas) tree ornaments designed by Rubberroom. In addition to the pictured Kinky Bears, they've got Horny Snowmen (guess where the carrot is) and Gingerbad People. 4. Adult Superstars by Plastic Fantasy - These porn star action figures made a big splash when they debuted a few years ago, but now the company that made them has gone out of business. The good news is that they are readily available on eBay, though not at the premium rates their manufacturer surely hoped for. In case you were wondering, the clothes are removable and they are anatomically correct, with nipples and everything. 5. The China Vagina Collection - Somewhere between art deco place settings and Judy Chicago's The Dinner Table are these plates. There are six designs on offer, in limited editions of 250 each. 6. Sexy Ceramics - The history of dirty pictures on pots and vases is well documented in the book Sex Pots: Eroticism in Ceramics (the link goes to Google books, where you can browse pages for free). Pottery from Pompeii is probably a bit out of most people's price ranges, but the full color pictures in this book should stir the imagination pot.
