Staten Island is getting its very own LGBT Center, and it's opening this week with the support of
Community Health Action of Staten Island. The Center, which is located at 25 Victory Blvd, 3rd Floor, is hosting some opening day festivities on Friday, May 16th. From 10 am – 12 noon there is a morning reception, at which City Council Speaker Christine Quinn (pictured above) will be speaking. In the evening there will be a cocktail reception from 4 pm – 7pm, with a talk by Assembly Member Matthew Titone. Tours and free food will be available during both receptions.
