The Beauty Standards of Alt

Alt culture blog Coilhouse has a great post that calls bullshit on the celebration of alternative beauty standards. The post is inspired by the appearance of Viktoria, a young alt model and amputee from the UK who graces the cover of Bizarre this month. Besides her lack of a leg, Viktoria very much conforms to contemporary beauty standards. Coilhouse digs into the standards for altness, and questions just how genuinely alt the standards are.
