Nice Old Ladies Take a World Wide Brothel Roadtrip

Two British ladies, members of the Hampshire Women's Institute, have been touring brothels around the world to get a better idea of the issues faced by the women who work in them. They've been looking for the perfect brothel, as a way of researching the ways that sex industry establishments could be run - but often aren't.
Kudos to these women for their curiosity and their willingness to try and see the experience of prostitution through the eyes of the people who do it. Check out the lengthy Daily Mail article about their adventures. There's a documentary too, which airs this coming Sunday on Channel 4 in the UK.

In Italy brothels are still illegal, that's pathetic isn't it?

They're illegal in lots more places than Italy - and in the places where brothels are legal there are often a lot of restrictions in place as an effort to prevent trafficking.
