Painted Memories of Stockholm's Cabaret Cats

Swedish painter Ulf Malmgren has done several sexuality-related series of oil paintings, including paintings depicting the Red Light District in Amsterdam and some others (like the piece above) from a Stockholm exotic dance bar called Cabaret Cats.
Here's what he has to say about Cabaret Cats:
Cabaret Cats was in 1985 a unique little place right in the middle of Stockholm. It only existed for somewhat more than a year. Suddenly one day in February 1986 it was closed – some say by the police because of intolerable nakedness. However, the next evening it was found to have been revived at a new address in much more spacious localities and with another name, ”Tabu” (Taboo).
This was, by the way, the same night as Sweden´s prime minister Olof Palme was shot dead in a street not too far away.
There are other paintings from the series on his website.
