Fresh Fruit Festival - July 11 - 27. Various venues, check website for details! Yes, Fresh Fruit is a colorful and healthy snack. But it is also an inclusive International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Cultural & Arts Festival held in Manhattan each July! All Out Arts' and New Village Productions' Fresh Fruit Festival feeds the spiritual and artistic souls of the LGBT and artistic communities.
Fresh Fruit's mission is to share the LGBT community's unique perspective, creativity and diversity and to build links between the LGBT, local, national and international artistic communities as well as to the general public.
In the Flesh Monthly Erotic Reading Series - Thursday, July 17th at 8 pm. Happy Ending Lounge, 302 Broome Street. Featured readers this month: D.L. King, editor of Erotica Revealed, and Susan Wright (A Pound of Flesh) to letter lover Samara O’Shea (Note to Self, For the Lover of Letters), memoirist Scott Pomfret (Since My Last Confession), Jeremy Edwards, (Clean Sheets, F is for Fetish), novelist Anna David (Party Girl) and playwright/memoirist Rachel Shukert (Have You No Shame?). Hosted by Rachel Kramer Bussel (Spanked, Rubber Sex, Dirty Girls). Free event, free candy and cupcakes will be served.
