AR: As a curvy girl, how have you been treated by the industry?
AL: I've been treated with both respect and spit on. When I did my first shoot for Voluptuous I weighed about 140 and they labeled me an XL girl. The label system is horrible but at the same time there are men that go for just the XL girls. Right now I'm a bit plump but my tits look great. I ignore the labels they give me. Who cares as long as it sells. And to use your words, "I own my body" and no one can tell me what label I fall under.

AR: Since you're in Chicago, your experience of the porn business must be very different than if you were on one of the coasts. Is there much of a scene in Chicago? Where do you usually travel for shoots?
I've gone to Miami a few times. Score pays well. I would go back in a heartbeat. But I think they are looking for that WOW girl that they will never find. Pandora Peaks doesn't exist naturally.

I've heard rumors that Chicago has a big gay industry. I found that out when I was told I would be paid less than the male. I told them a thing or two about straight porn and I did a solo.

I work with one main photographer here. He captures me perfectly and is a dying breed of professional photographers. Our first session I masturbated for 2 hours (I didn't know when to stop and he had $ signs in his eyes). The pay is lousy but it is what it is. The companies don't want to fork over the dough to fly you out and put you up for the night then they have to pay the photographer and the talent.

S&M porn is huge here. The Chicago Doms are some of the best in the world but they won't be filmed. So companies try to pass off models as doms. I worked for one outfit twice, I wasn't good at being mean. The third time he called I was sick and had gained weight. I told him to check out my site and his reaction was "HOLY SHIT ALIX YOU LOOK PREGNANT"

Needless to say, I wont be working for him anymore.

I guess the real problem with Chicago porn is the safety. I get a lot of shady guys emailing me. When I ask for company names, employees, phone numbers and what the footage entails, I don't get a response.

LA, well LA has too many porn starlets doing the same thing. I'd have to find an agent and I don't want to end up washed up a junkie in a year.

Finally, I get to do what I want here. I can get away with what I consider porn which is both nudity and blogging erotica.

AR: You've done a few videos of yourself getting nude and naughty on public transit in Chicago. What are the most fun and most challenging things about doing exhibitionist shoots like this?
AL: At first it was just a cute idea. I didn't think it would fly. I spent way too much time looking around. But that's what the viewer liked the most. My facial reactions are what endears me to the watcher the most. I have a very expressive face which I'm told is good for acting. But that is really me. I wear my heart on my sleeve which gets me in a lot of trouble but it also makes me real.

Being an exhibitionist is to me getting away with it. I almost got caught a few times with a bullet vibrator inside me. One conductor, they all know me, wanted a piece of the action so I set up my camera and said lets go. He said he could get fired and I said it's on camera or nothing.

In the end all my train rides, dancing around, making videos, writing, being sober or not, it's all about what I want and I want it all!
