An affair can be lived entirely in the confines of a room and an inbox. And it should, if we're smart. But we're not always smart. We crave the edge. That's what the affair is about, after all, and The Illicit Review is here to give you ideas about where to execute the perfect tryst.

ABH @ the Thompson
9360 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90212

The elevator doors opened and we slipped in with a group of girls, who were obviously working the hotel that night. They weren't your usual variety of working girl -- the slick type you see on television. You can't be that obvious anymore. You have to appear clueless, somewhat unrefined, but cute enough to get in.
And they need everything they have to get in. See, ABH isn't your usual rooftop bar. It's private. Hotel guests and private parties only. We watch with amusement as they bat their eyelashes and say they had no idea it was a private thing. The guy at the door lets them in "just this once." You can try your luck that way. We don't recommend it -- imagine failing? In front of your mistress? For shame.
If you've got friends in management or are a Thompson fixture, you're good. Just call in advance and let them know what's what. They're super discreet. If you're new on the scene, you're in luck, too: ABH recently opened its doors to the public on Mondays, so you may still have an in -- at least before everyone else hears about it.
You love the risky missions, though. We're on to you.
Once you're past the bouncer, you're right at the bar. Grab a drink, then take your date upstairs to the second deck. The pool's right there, but ignore it for a moment. Immediately next to the stairs (whichever set you choose) is a little wrap-around porch that looks down on the bar. It's not lit or frequented often, and just wide enough that you and your date can do... well, pretty much anything you like.
Being on top of Beverly Hills? Done. Being at a private club on top of Beverly Hills? Done. Getting head at a private club on top of Beverly Hills? Now that's NakedCity style.
