Dildo Drive Downunder [Porn At Large]

Chloe_1.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

This week we're joined by Chloe B, a model and model manager for Australian-based AbbyWinters.com

G’day there everyone! It’s Chloe again, back from abbywinters.com and ready to share some more insight with you about some of our other awesome shoots that take place, namely, our Dildo Drive shoots.

At AW, there are a wide variety of posing levels so that we can cater to all sorts of different gorgeous girls’ needs and desires, but for those who are up for more explicit and intimate shoots, we have the Dildo Drive.

Chloe_2.jpg Basically, the models get to pick a toy that has been sent in by one of our generous members, and then she gets to use it in her shoot. The best thing about this kind of shoot is, apart from the fact that you get to get naked and hot on camera for everyone to view, you get to keep the toy at the end of the day.

I did my first Dildo Drive shoot about a year ago now, and it has been one of my most favourite shoots (apart from all the HOT girl girl action I’ve been lucky enough to experience during my time at AW- but that’s a whole other story). Anyways, I ended up picking a wabbit vibrator, which proved to be bloody fantastic! I loved the way that the beaded head of the shaft rotated around really quickly, stimulating my g-spot, while the ears of the rabbit worked busily away on my clit… I think I ended up having two, maybe three, intense orgasms as a result! Crikey hey!?

The greatest thing was the fact that I got to take my new best friend home with me and continue to experience many an awesome orgasm as a result of it. I’ve given it a pretty good workout, I must say, but it hasn’t let me down yet- and hopefully won’t for a while to come!

I now get the joy of helping other models choose the perfect toy for their shoot and see just how much satisfaction our members’ toys can give them.

Well, once again, that’s all for me today- but keep an eye out- I’ll be back in no time to share some more insider knowledge of the fun and shenanigans that go on behind the scenes at abbywinters.com.

Luv heaps,
Chloe. Xoxo

Too Hot in Tel Aviv – Impressions from a Hot Country

Too_Hot_300dpi_RGB.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

This week's column is by Jürgen Anger, curator of thePornfilmfestivalBerlin.

I just returned from a trip to Tel Aviv to attend the 3rd edition of the LGBT Festival. Much to my pleasure they screened Otto; or, up with Dead People, the Bruce La Bruce film I helped to produce, and to my big surprise we won the Special Jury Prize. Screening the film and watching other good stuff wasn’t the only reason for being there. At a film festival you have the chance to meet the other festival guests and exchange news, ideas and body fluids. Liad Kantorowicz, enfant terrible and activist in Tel Aviv is planning a feminist porn film but doesn’t have the funding yet. Cheryl Dunne, with fame from her first lesbian feature The Watermelon Woman presented her work and also announced that she plans to do lesbian porn better than ever before. We will keep you updated.

One main reason to be in Tel Aviv was also to meet the guys from PAG productions, Roy Raz and Eitan Tal, who produced the first ever gay porn film made in Israel Too Hot in Tel Aviv. The film was presented for the first time outside of Israel at last year’s Berlin Pornfilmfestival; it has since received lots of attention and has been released on DVD. The film was made for an Israeli cable TV station which demanded the producers not to show any penetration. In our world of all kinds of hardcore porn I thought this was a disadvantage, but the audience in Berlin loved the film despite the lack of the usual close up fuckfest. The film has a lot of charm, beautiful boys and an easyness not seen often in porn. The additional casting interviews (where you see cum shots) give an in depth look at the motivations of both cast and makers.

PAG productions is a small company which runs an underground club on Thursday Too_Hot_05.jpg nights in Tel Aviv where you meet the hip crowd. In their day jobs they work in marketing and commercials. They are planning their second “real” porn film to be shot in July in some run down military base in the desert. I have seen the casting pics and wait till you see them in live action. During a late dinner in hot and humid Tel Aviv both Roy and Eitan talked about their ideas.

Jürgen Anger: Why did you do Too Hot in Tel Aviv?
Roy Raz: I guess that my main reason was because I wanted to be the first...the first that had the guts to make Israeli porn..after that came reasons like: making money and seeing lots of naked men -- that sounded like a good job !!!

Porn (R)Evolution

revolution_fist.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

Bren Ryder is the creator of Good Dyke Porn, an independent amateur hard core pornographic video website which proudly features authentic queer women having amazingly hot sex.

I had a conversation with a friend recently who is a no-nonsense, out-spoken, hard-core feminist about porn. We were talking about what I do and she listened politely as I spoke about it and then proceeded to let me know why porn was incredibly wrong and harmful to women. I admit it, I was shocked. I really didn't know that feminists still felt that way. She was utterly against all porn for the following reasons: the violence against women, the profiting off of women's sex (and violence against her) and using powerless and vulnerable women. I'm sure that does happen in the world. I don't doubt that, unfortunately. But, then I had to ask, "What does any of that have to do with what I do?" She replied, You make porn.

Porn. It's a word that holds a lot of meaning for people. Sometimes it can make you giggle and sometimes it can make you cringe. I think people like to say, "well, it depends on how you define porn". I have a fairly simple definition: sexually explicit. There are other terms that are in use, such as erotica, but that implies that it's basically soft-core porn. In my opinion, porn is when you can see all the bits and it's making you feel very funny down-there.

But, besides the general definition that gives you an idea about what you're going to see, the meaning of porn needs to evolve. While talking to Erika Lust, one of the other Porn at Large contributors to this site, she said her aim is to take an eraser to the chalkboard of porn and bit by bit erase all the negative connotations and start fresh with a blank board where we fill in positive sexual expressions that still serve to sexually arouse but don't perpetuate the negative aspects of porn (I'm paraphrasing what she said to me in a loud bar after the Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto).

I, too, feel that my work is to break down those negative connotations, especially around "lesbian porn". Which is why I have called my work, "Good Dyke Porn". The porn that exists that depicts "lesbians" is mostly geared towards a narrow view of a male fantasy. The genre of porn for women or porn by women is on the increase and is at the heart of the porn revolution that will eventually cause the evolution of porn itself. When women make porn a whole new aesthetic is created. Sexual gratification and arousal is a part of the visual expression, but it goes deeper than that. And, really, we don't even have to try. It simply comes naturally to women to create sexually explicit material that tingles the genitals and sets in motion the evolution of a word. Porn will one day mean something different. It will result from a Porn Revolution. Watch the women with cameras in their hands. Do what they're doing. They will lead the way.

Devora Ran, Spanish Sex Culture Magazine

cover_01.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States. This week its Erika Lust's turn...

Devora Ran is a new magazine about sex culture, founded by two friends (Sabine Klötzer and Soledad Romero) who are sick of a traditional and repetitive vision of pornography, here in my city, Barcelona. Devora Ran is the unedited showroom of the sexual revolution that society is experiencing; a real alternative to the current sex industry’s conventionalism.

The magazine is directed at both women and men, which makes it the first sex magazine aimed at a mixed audience. The strength of Devora Ran lies in the fact it is the alternative everyone has been waiting for. It makes its debut in the market ready to satisfy consumers who are culture-loving and unrepressed in their sexuality.

Devora Ran is not a porn magazine. It includes much more than penetration, fellatio and big cocks. It doesn’t depict posing models, but explores real people’s sexual attitudes and culture.

It is a showcase for its collaborators’ work: portraying sex through photography, cinema, music, literature, philosophy, painting, illustration, design, etc. Devora Ran fuses pornography and art, organizing events and publishing the work of the best artists.

Devora Ran is edited in Spanish and English and periodically publishes the most recent contents online. Eventually, luxury editions will be printed.

Everyone is invited to submit their works. If you would like to collaborate with Devora Ran you need to follow some basic rules.

Rules of submission
The work handed in must have “sex” as its topic.
Devora Ran rejects and denounces child pornography and any act in which the implied parties are not acting voluntarily!
The handing in of a work does not necessarily mean that it will be published. All received material will be considered for future editions, but we cannot guarantee its publication.
Works of any artistic discipline are accepted: photography, illustration, sculpture, music, poetry, video, design, …

Selection of Works
The material received passes a selection process which guarantees the quality and requirements Devora Ran asks from its collaborators. Send your work following the technical parameters we point out below in order to optimize the possibility of publication.

If your work is selected for one of the print editions of Devora Ran, they will send you three copies as a courtesy for your collaboration.

Further details for submissions here.

In 2004 Erika Lust started the adult audiovisual production company Lust Films, which produced THE GOOD GIRL, a worldwide acclaimed explicit short story for women, that now is part of the film “FIVE HOT STORIES FOR HER,” released in 2007. They are about to finish “Barcelona Sex Project,” an erotic documentary that will be on the market soon. You can keep posted about Erika and her work on her website

Science of Horror – If the Chainsaw becomes a Penis

soh_poster.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

This week its Jürgen Anger's turn - he's the curator of the Berlin Porn Film Festival

As a porn producer and the organizer of a pornfilmfestival life can be pretty boring. For my porn company Wurstfilm I had to attend the EGPA (European Gay Porn Awards) held in Berlin on May 17th, 2008. A crummy event trying to be glamorous but it is an industry gathering with all the fakeness that entails. Watching porn for the next edition of the festival can be more fun, but sadly isn't always. One of the more fun moments was to see Katharina Klewinghaus’ film “Science Of Horror – If the Chainsaw becomes a Penis”.

Horror films are often pornographic and eroticize the abject. Yet, they relieve, they are humorous and challenge cultural taboos. “Science Of Horror – If the Chainsaw becomes a Penis” is the first documentary to analyze horror film from the perspective of feminist film critique.

Katharina Klewinghaus is the star of Bruce LaBruce’s last epic endeavour “Otto; or, up with Dead People,” and is also a director in her own right. Over the years she developed an increasing interest in film, so she decided to move to London in order to take up a degree in film. Since 2005 Katharina Klewinghaus has been living and working in Berlin.
Science of Horror is her first feature length work as writer and director.

Director`s Comment:

With the arrival of literary works such as Carol Clover’s „Men, Women and Chain Saws“ (1992) as well as Linda William’s „Hard Core“ (1989), feminist film theory took a new look at the so called „low body genres“. Until then, genres such as horror and pornography had been mainly condemned by feminist writings, as it was regarded as a cinema, which was solely made for a male audience, often serving to fulfill sadistic pleasures.
“Men, Women and Chain Saws” and “Hard Core” also gained critical acclaim, as it emerged from an acknowledged academic background, with both authors being scholars at the University of California, Berkeley. Although never denying the misogynistic subtexts in those genres, the authors opened the door and gave way for a feminist reading, which went beyond the established and often negative attitudes towards these genres.

“Science Of Horror” tries to capture those newer cycles of ideas. It quite consciously opens with the recurring famous topics of horror, such as “censorship” and “catharsis”, but develops into a discourse, which more and more finds a focus on the gender related approaches. By doing this, it likes to provide a broad scientific look at the genre, while incorporating issues, which have not been discussed in film before.
The almost equal appearances of filmmakers and theorists within the film, is a means to explore the genre from different perspectives. In addition, it is a comment on the often neglected influence, which the two disciplines, filmmaking and film criticism, have on each other.

--(Katharina Klewinghaus, January 2008)

I had the chance to ask Katharina Klewinghaus some questions about her film.

Getting Naked Australian Style: An Abby Winters Girl Reports

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

Chloe_2.jpg G’day everyone! It’s me, Chloe B- from abbywinters.com. I’m back and today I’m going to tell you about what goes on during a typical shoot day at Abbywinters.

Firstly, the models (which can range anywhere from 2- 20 models) come into AWHQ early in the morning where I give them BIG cuddles (I LOVE cuddles) and get them started on their paperwork. We then drive them out to an awesome location- which can be anything from the model’s real home, to lots of different outdoor settings including bushland, beaches and even footy fields!

Once there, our all female crew set up lighting and stuff while the models get dressed in their own clothes to start shooting. After everything is ready, the models begin doing Chloe_Anneke_2.jpg their stills set first, moving about, having stacks of fun and… getting naked! Once the stills are finished, the models have a yummy lunch which we provide for them and then do their video. During their solo vids the models usually move about, talk to the camera while slowly getting undressed. It’s a great first experience and basically every model comes back for more!

Believe me, once you’ve been naked on camera- whether it be doing a solo shoot to getting hot and getting off with another girl- you won’t want to stop… it’s really addictive! I seriously can’t get enough of it, which is why I just keep shooting and shooting as much as I can.

I remember one of my shoots where I was on a footy field… Crikey- there were so many people walking around just staring at me while I attempted to play the game (Aussie Rules Footy) while naked- it was hilarious, and a big rush too! I was having so much fun that I didn’t care who saw… I just seem to lose all my inhibitions (not that I have many) whenever I’m shooting with the AW gang.

Chloe_Rosanna_2.jpg

Another awesome experience was when I shot my first ever girl girl shoot… I’d never really been with a girl before (besides kissing and teasing and stuff), so I was a little nervous at the thought of getting hot and heavy with a gorgeous AW chick, let alone on camera. The crew and my partner, the beautiful Rosanna, came around to my house to shoot in the morning and were frickin awesome- they explained everything that was going to happen and it made me feel at ease almost instantly.

We then began our stills set which were so much fun and a great way to feel out what Rosanna liked and what to do to get her off. After completing the stills we had a delish lunch, and then got started on the vid. During our girl girl vid, the crew just let us go at it- licking and sucking and teasing each other, until we couldn’t take it anymore and had many an orgasm. I was so caught up in it all that I totally forgot about the cameras.

Since then, I’ve done stacks of girl girl shoots- and one time even managed to have a Chloe_Anneke.jpg whopping FOUR orgasms… I mean, I could barely walk afterwards but crikey- it was fantastic. I love my job- it’s the greatest!!!

Well, I’m sorry but that’s all for now, but I’ll be back next month to tell you some more about what goes on behind the scenes at AWHQ.

Luv Heaps,
Chloe. xoxoxo

Zen and The Art of Porn Blogs

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

Bren Ryder is the creator of GoodDykePorn.com, an independent amateur hard core pornographic video website which proudly features authentic queer women having amazingly hot sex. Follow her journey to success at BrenRyder.com.

peace.jpgZen. Art. Porn. Blogs. How do all of these things fit together? This is my life. Like a lot of people in this modern world, I'm seeking a more spiritual way of life. I make porn and update my site regularly while blogging about the experience. But is it Art? All of these things could be mutually exclusive, but my work is to bring them all together. To use modern technology to expose myself (physically and emotionally), to blog for inner peace, to help people discover their own sexual power or just learn from my mistakes on how to make a porn website work, to make art. All that may sound kind of silly to some people. I'm a friggin' pornographer fer christ sake! What does any of that have to do with spirituality or art? Honestly, I'm not sure. That's my work, too, to figure out the connections.

I write in a journal everyday. I make lists, plan goals, figure out my financial situation, work out my feelings on my porno path and constantly redirect my focus on what's important. When I started out on this path I thought that my surest bet for success was to make myself completely vulnerable and fully exposed. I know that when I see people's creations I truly enjoy the stories and the images that are real and revealing. That's a scary thought – to put myself out there like that. But, I've sacrificed a lot to be here. I gave up on my path to become a firefighter. I put a lot of money into the website. And I'm going to go all the way. And by all the way I don't mean spreading my legs – that part's easy. I mean talking about my business, my money, my feelings and my mistakes. Please join me on this journey at BrenRyder.com.

Barcelona Sex Project: Six portraits of true intimacy, personal interviews and real orgasms

barcelona.jpg

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States. This week it's Erika Lust's turn.

Today I want to introduce you to Barcelona Sex Project, my latest work. It’s an intimate and independent erotic documentary, which explores the real lives of three men and three women as we get to know them extremely personally, including their real orgasms. Through candid interviews they reveal their thoughts and passions, while letting us into their lives by sharing their every day experiences with their own video cameras, and finally inviting us to look in on their most private and intimate pleasure.

The project is based on my conviction that women desire to truly know a person (their beliefs, character, feelings, fears and passions) to become drawn to them on a sexually intimate level.

With this notion, Barcelona Sex Project portrays each man and woman in three situations:
• An in-depth interview about their lives and sexuality.
• A hidden moment from their private lives filmed with their own camera (cooking, skiing, assisting at a rock concert, working…)
• A tasteful and intimate masturbation scene, where the men and the women achieve real orgasms.

This production is accompanied by an artistic photographic project. The photographer has captured the personal and natural style of each of the six protagonists at first in their day-to-day clothes and then completely naked. The photos have been created by JALIF, one of the most prestigious and successful erotic photographers in Barcelona.

The six people in Barcelona Sex Project:

David was born in Galicia and is Galician through and through. He has worked as a crew member on luxury yachts and also deactivated mines when he was a scuba diver for the Spanish navy. He loves the sea, good cooking and his dog, Kron.

Dunia is a bisexual, Brazilian, working mother. She likes to dance, (above all, the samba), and also architecture, traveling and meeting with friends to talk about everything imaginable: wine, love, politics…and sex.

Joni is a young electrician working in Barcelona airport and dedicates his free time to his principle passion in life: snowboarding. He is only 21 but in ten years he expects to be married with children.

Silvia wants to be a rock star. She has just received a drum set for her 21st birthday which she plays with her friends in their band and with whom she wants to conquer the world. Her passions are music, tattoos, the rain and her city: Barcelona.

Joel has been working as a stripper and model for ten years but is studying in his free time to become a broker and financial assessor. He confesses: “Even though I take good care of myself, I go to the gym and eat well; I won’t be able to live on my body and my looks forever.”

Irina is a young woman, quite reserved and a little shy. She is passionate about technology, an avid blogger and professional webmaster. She loves role videogames, the internet and the cinema. We noticed that when it comes to sex Irina has a more daring and exhibitionist side.

More information about the movie is available on its website: Barcelona Sex Project.

The Popularity of Pornography in Art and Film

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

Here's Jürgen Anger, the founder and curator of the Berlin Porn Film Festival...

200px-Piss_Christ_by_Serrano_Andres_%281987%29.jpgWhen I started the pornfilmfestivalBerlin three years ago I quoted a line from US artist Andres Serrano, who gained notoriety in the 1980s when Senator Jesse Helms fought the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) because of their funding of some "controversial" artists. Serrano was among these with his "Piss-Christ" painting; he once quipped, "The difference between Art and Pornography – Art is more expensive.“

Gaspar Noé, the controversial French filmmaker of "Irréversible" (which has an intense rape scene starring Monica Bellucci), has said that he doesn't think there is a difference between art and pornography. AllenHappyChristmasMom%26Dad.jpg Jennifer Allen, a former pole dancer who has made her experiences into a new art form remarks that artworks may be more pricey, but porn is more profitable:

In our fresh century, art and porn have forged a powerful new alliance beyond the traditional nude and the direct quoatation, whether close-up or critical. Both realms have been radically transformed by globalized markets for spectactles and by mobile media technologies, from digital cameras to web cams. If censors once hoped to protect high art lovers from becoming lowly porn fans, distinguishing between the groups makes no sense today. The internet eliminated the physical space that seperated (and segregated) the museum from the porn shop, along with their respective users. While museums and porn shops persist, it’s no longer necessary to visit them to get some art or some porn or a bit of both; all variations can be found on YouTube and MySpace; and anyone can post a new hybrid, write a blog or chat to find collaborators for an indie porn. With Web 2.0, the old elitism of art and the old trashiness of porn fused into a massive user-friendly market with Do it Yourself consumers and producers (or both), who are as proficient with up & downloading as they are well-versed in exhibitionism.

The internet provides private space but young artists nowadays don't want to be private. They are openly pornographic and not ashamed to call their work pornographic and obscene. Panic Qulture, a young Parisian art collective, produces work with names like Pop Porn Party. They have a fresh naiveté and love to deconstruct heterosexual norms. They use pop culture, post porn politics and queerness in their films and live performances and avoid the structures of mainstream porn and the art world.

charlotte.jpg
Our own German Paris Hilton is Charlotte Roche, a former MTV host, who has published a booked called Feuchtgebiete (meaning: "wet areas"), the best selling book in Germany at the moment. Bourgois cultural critics get wet reading about female body fluids. The book is seen as the result of what Elfriede Jelinek, the literature nobel prize winner from Austria, already demanded in the late 80's: that women should recapture the depiction of nudity and obscenity.

But the subversive potential of female pornography has long gone. The confessions of female porn has long reached into mainstream. In the US you have "Sex and the City," Paris Hilton and John and Jane who show their confessions on Youporn.
In my work as a producer I try to create work together with the filmmakers which show a realistic portrait of today's society including sexuality. So all you investors out there please send me money to do new work with Maxime Cervulle, Maria Beatty, Yair Hochner, Ismail Necmi, Bruce laBruce, Ela Troyano and all the others who will come up.

And those who have given all their heartblood and sweat to finish one film please send it to: org@pornfilmfestivalberlin.de

What Do You Do? I'm a Pornographer!

Gang3.png

Every Thursday, Naked City expands your pornographic worldview with tales from the far reaches of the earth. Four international pornographers share this space to tell all about the experiences of being porny and making porn outside of the United States.

Bren Ryder is the creator of GoodDykePorn.com, an independent amateur hard core pornographic video website which proudly features authentic queer women having amazingly hot sex.

Many years ago I became convinced that life as an independent filmmaker wasn't the career path for me. I was tired of being a starving artist and I wanted to proudly answer the question, "what do you do?" and the feel the respect from the interested party. So, what new career would I embark upon? As an able-bodied butch dyke in my twenties, I had the answer: firefighter. What's hotter than that? I could ride big trucks, save children from burning buildings and work towards a pension, benefits and all that good stuff.

I put all independent film projects on hold and dedicated myself to this new career. One of those projects was to be to create a new kind of porn, porn featuring real women who love women who really fuck each other on camera. But, that can wait, I thought. I'll become a firefighter first, then I'll make porn on the side.

I spent over 5 years taking courses, working out, volunteering, testing, failing, testing again, succeeding, more courses, interviews, interview tests and more. Over time, my desire to perform first aid on people began to dwindle and my desire to make hot, sexy, authentic, dyke porn began to grow. I asked myself, why do I want to be firefighter? To help people? To be a hero? When I was being honest I knew that I was doing it for all the wrong reasons: status.

I had to stop immediately. That wasn't truly my dream. My dream all along was to create quality dyke porn. A big part of my mission in filming real women having sex with their girlfriends and their lovers was to combat shame - shame of female sexuality, shame of our bodies and even the shame of watching porn. I wanted to change the face of porn entirely. I couldn't do that on the side. So, I quit my pursuit to become a firefighter. I let go of the notion of being a hero and having an easy answer when asked what I do for a living. bren1.jpg

Instead, I got a camera, some beautiful and courageous queer women and I set out to make good dyke porn. In August 2007, GoodDykePorn.com was born. The site is growing bit by bit and is on its way to becoming a home grown phenomenon. Being one of the first women to create a scene for the collection I'm proud to have shown my naked body, flashed my cunt and exposed my orgasm to thousands of viewers. Now, when asked, what do you do, I proudly answer: a pornographer! And, funnily enough, I've just been nominated in my city, Vancouver, Canada, for a Community Hero Award for Visual Artist of the Year. So, I guess I am a hero after all.
